AdventureRoute guide leading group across alpine ridge with mountain panorama

ADVENTUREROUTE·WHISTLER

Guides who know these mountains because they live here

Segment 04 — Our Story

AdventureRoute Inc. was founded on the belief that the best mountain experiences come from local knowledge, honest route assessment, and guides who treat every excursion as if their own family were on the trail.

A Whistler company built for the terrain we traverse daily

AdventureRoute Inc. is a federally registered Canadian corporation headquartered at 4295 Blackcomb Way, Suite 316, in Whistler, British Columbia. Our business number is BN 846789012BC0001. We operate exclusively as a guided excursion and mountain route planning company — we are not a travel agency and we do not sell flights, hotel rooms, or packaged vacation products.

Our team consists of eight certified mountain guides, two route planners, and three operations staff who together deliver over four hundred guided excursions each season across the Whistler-Blackcomb massif, Garibaldi Provincial Park, and the broader Sea-to-Sky corridor. Every guide holds current Wilderness First Responder certification, bear-aware training, and Avalanche Skills Training Level 1 at minimum, with glacier programme leaders holding AST Level 2 and ACMG assistant guide credentials.

We founded AdventureRoute because we saw a gap in the Whistler market: plenty of resort activities and ski operations, but few companies offering thoughtfully designed hiking and trekking routes with the same professionalism that backcountry skiing demands. Our route cards are modeled on alpine expedition planning documents — elevation profiles, bailout points, water sources, and seasonal hazard annotations — because we believe day hikers deserve expedition-grade preparation.

Our commitments

Safety First

We cancel or reschedule routes when conditions are unsafe. No exceptions, no pressure to proceed. Your guide's assessment is final on the day of excursion.

Transparent Pricing

All quotes in Canadian dollars with line-item clarity. No hidden fees, no post-excursion surcharges. Transportation and equipment rental disclosed before you confirm.

Environmental Respect

Leave No Trace principles on every route. We stick to established trails, pack out all waste, and maintain respectful distance from wildlife throughout the corridor.

Local Knowledge

Our guides live in Whistler year-round. They know which meadows bloom in July, which creek crossings swell after rain, and which ridgelines offer the best afternoon light.
